New Visions Engineering class outside of Raymond Corporation

On Wednesday, March 27, Raymond Corporation hosted a tour and panel for the New Visions Engineering Class of 2024 in Greene, New York. We were met by Brian Warner, who talked about the history of Raymond in Greene and got our day started. The facility tour was led by Lee Moxley, who outlined the various products, engineering processes, and precautions Raymond uses to produce its lifts. Afterward, the class was given lunch alongside a panel by Brian Warner, Mike Bishop, Tianran Cui, and Josh Smith about the different kinds of engineers Raymond employs and what the students should do in college to be hired by companies like Raymond. Finally, the class was given a tour of the 3D printing lab by Josh Smith before departure.

The students are very grateful for the opportunity to learn more about Raymond’s long history of manufacturing and the lessons on how to be a future employee at Raymond; from what colleges Raymond usually hires to showing up fifteen minutes early to an interview.
