Fingerprinting

Fingerprinting Information

The Otsego Northern Catskills BOCES helps educators meet their legal fingerprinting obligations.  Currently, eleven component districts utilize the fingerprinting service provided by ONC BOCES.  A digital fingerprinting scanning option known as MorphoTrust/IDEMIA allows fingerprinting clearances in as little as 24-72 hours.  This new technology provides the districts the information and support needed in order to carry out their important work ensuring student safety.

To learn more about the fingerprinting requirements, please visit the website of the Office of School Personnel Review and Accountability (OSPRA), which is part of the New York State Education Department.  This website includes information about fees, provides the necessary forms and provides a listing of who must be fingerprinted.
