  • 2-Year Program for NYS Licensure, Summer School

  • 2½ * CTE Credits Per Year 

  • Total of 3½ * Credits issued per year 

  • 1 Credit CTE Math for a 2 Year Program

  • 1 Credit CTE Science for a 2 Year Program

Program Description
Students will learn all aspects of the personal enhancement field and acquire skills in hair care, chemical services and styling, nail care and art, facial and skin care, and business practices. Jobs are plentiful in this field in our region and a state-of-the-art salon prepares students to be successful after graduation. Students are required to complete 1,000 hours, and pass the New York State written and practical exam to be licensed in New York State as a cosmetologist. This program gives students the opportunity to log the required 1,000 hours and gain the knowledge and practical experience necessary to be successful on the state examination.

Optional Cosmetology Programs

Nail Speciality - A 250-hour course in professional level nail treatments, nail art, artificial nails, pedicure, paraffin waxing treatment and manicures.
